We provide Choose Your Man and Van Platform which is for Customers to book collection and delivery.

We are a delivery, transportation services company. We are the controller of your data. This means that we are responsible for deciding how we collect, store, and use personal information about you.

Telephone Number: The Choose Your Man and Van platform

The Choose Man and Van Platform allows Customers to book Jobs at the Price specified by the transport providers and Choose Platform.

The Choose Platform will then select the appropriate to offer the Driver Job to and it is up to You, the Driver , to accept or decline the Job.

When You the (Driver) accept a Job via the Platform You are deemed to have accepted the terms covering the relationship between You and the Customer called the drivers Terms .

We will offer to connect You with Customers in order that You can complete Jobs based on the information We hold about You in accordance with these Driver Terms.

Data Protection

We collect and process all information in accordance with Our Privacy Notice Personal data is any information that tells us something about you whether directly or indirectly identified or identifiable as an individual. We may collect and use the following personal data about you.

  • Identity Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth, your image (be that photographic or video) and vehicle registration/licence plate.
  • Contact Data includes residential addresses, property ownership information, relevant contact addresses, email address and telephone numbers.
  • Financial Data includes bank account, payment card details and information to enable us to undertake Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing electronic checks on you.
  • Profile Data includes purchases or orders made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.

How long we keep your data

The law does not always say how long you must keep your records, but your record keeping has to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, whether records are electronic or paper-based. The Act stipulates that data should not be kept for longer than necessary but does not specify how long a 'necessary' period is.

Congestion Charge/Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)

  1. the Congestion Charge operate between 07:00 and 22:00 seven days a week. If your journey begins or ends in the congestion zone you should charge the customer an extra  £15 .
  2. If your booking starts or finishes in the (ULEZ) Zone and the service provider's vehicle registration is older than 2005, the Central London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) . The ULEZ Zone is in operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round. The service provider is responsible for payment of the £12.50 ULEZ charge.

Delays: If you are delayed/late to a booking, the customer must be contacted prior to the arranged pick-up time and kept up-to-date with regular estimated times of arrival.

Equipment: Man And Van Service providers are advised to carry on their vans at all times a minimum of the following:

  • trolley
  • straps
  • basic tools
  • blankets
  • ratchet straps
  • Bungee cords

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

We will inform a driver via email or telephone of any complaint submitted by a customer. We allowed 3 working days from that initial email for the driver to respond to the complaint. If no response is received from the driver, after 3 working days of him being notified of the complaint, the issue will be resolved by Choose Man And Van on behalf of the driver.

Cancelling a job

You can cancel your booking at any time but ,

There is a £10.00 minimum charge + any extra money we have to pay another service provider to complete the booking

PAYMENT

Payment for Jobs will be paid by the Customer and collected by Choose Man And Van via our secure payment gateway, and you are paid by directly into your bank account every week.

Conduct

If a driver or any helpers attend a property and do not conduct themselves in a professional manner and engage in a heated altercation with the customer, we retain the right to suspend the service provider account immediately until our internal investigation and any court cases are completed.

We do not accept liability to Customers for a Driver's appearance, smoking, driving ability, manner of driving proficiency of English or use of inappropriate language.

CUSTOMERS TRAVELING IN THE VAN

This is up to the Driver customers can travel in the van if there is a seat available.

If You cannot do a booking

.If you cannot do a booking contact choose man and van as soon as possible , There is a £10.00 minimum charge + any extra money we have to pay another service provider to complete the booking

Lost Items

  1. In the event of non-delivery of Item(s), if the Customer wants Choose Man and Van to attempt to resolve the issue the Customer must:
    .contact Choose via Email or phone within (24) hours .
    .provide to Choose proof that the Driver has collected the Item(s) from collection address

.Insurance and other document

All of our Transport Providers are required to have a valid Full Uk Driving License, Goods In Transit Cover, Public Liability insurance, And Motor Insurance.

.What to do if your van breaks down before or during a booking

If your van has broken down and you cannot get to your booking contact Choose Your Man And Van as soon as possible....

.You further undertake to provide evidence of all such insurance and licences required in compliance upon demand by Choose.

.Any breach of this clause by You will be deemed to be a material breach of these Driver Terms and Choose shall be entitled to close Your Driver Account and prevent You from registering with Choose to undertake Jobs in the future.

Driver Responsibility

.Responsibility of the driver is to secure all goods loaded in the van in a way to minimise any accidental damage during the transportation.

IF YOU CANNOT COMPLETE A JOB

.If You are unable to complete a Job because You were not able to deliver the Item(s) for any reason that is not in Your control, You may:

.keep the Item(s) for as long as necessary to complete the Job; or

.return the Item(s) to the collection address or

.If this happens, we may charge additional fees to the Customer for the storage, return or extra time to deliver and this will be reflected in Your Driver’s Fee.

Reviews and customer satisfaction emails

We are constantly improving our service and website to create the perfect match between consumers and removal companies. After submitting your request for quotations, it is possible that we will send you an email in which we ask for feedback.

Receipts

Man and Van service providers must offer the customer either a paper or electronic receipt on completion of the job.

DAMAGED ITEMS

.In the event of damage to Item(s), if the Customer wants Choose Man and Van to attempt to resolve the issue the Customer must:

.Retain the Item(s) in the condition in which the Item(s) were received from the Driver,

.If possible, take pictures of the Item(s) in the condition in which they were received from the Driver.

.Inform Choose Man and Van within 24 hours of receipt of the Item(s) of the condition of the Item(s) on receipt from the Driver and include pictures evidence if it is available; and

.Inform Choose of any circumstances which the Customer believes may have led to the damage to the Item(s).

DRIVER SAFETY

.When You are completing Jobs for Choose You must comply with the following :

  1. .Wear an item of high visibility clothing, and safety shoes for Your own safety.
    .Ensure that the vehicle(s) that You use are roadworthy and have a current Mot and appropriate insurance cover; and public liability insurance and goods in transit cover.
    .Drive in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations in force from time to time;
    .Don't do anything that may cause harm to Yourself or any third-party including Customers of Choose Man and Van.
    .Wear Choose Man and Van uniform .
    .Clean vehicles inside out

Our Liability To You

  1. .We are not responsible of the Driver during the completion of any Job, any damage for the goods or customer private property or public property and loss of the Items.
    .We are not responsible if anything gone wrong during the completion of any job
    .We do not accept responsibility for any customer losses due to pick-up/delivery
    .Our liability to You shall be limited to the fees that you are paid for the Job to which the dispute relates.

We shall not be liable under any circumstances to You for:

  • .DISCLAIMER
  • .loss of income or revenue;
  • .loss of business;
  • .loss of profits or contracts;
  • .loss of anticipated savings;
  • .loss of data;
  • .loss of goodwill;
  • .wasted management or office time; and

for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable.

.WHEN YOU CAN REFUSE TO COMPLETE A JOB

If the Customer does any of the following You can refuse to complete the Job:

  • .Asks you to park your vehicle on Red double lane,
  • .Asks you to park your vehicle on Zebra crossing,
  • .Asks you to park your vehicle on middle of the road,
  • .Asks you to move or carry items from basement or floors has stairs ,without paying extra charges for stairs,
  • .Asks you for additional stops without paying extra charges ,
  • .Asks you to park your vehicle on without paying for parking fee,
  • .Asks you to disconnect or reconnect electric cooker,
  • .When you can refuse to transport certain items

If the customer Asks you to transport items such Animals ,Gases,hazardous,Fuel , dangerous, flammable liquids or illegal Goods .
